Jacava London: Marrakesh Nights*

It's happened again, I've fallen in love with another polish! This time it's from a brand that is fairly new to me, so that makes it even more exciting!

For the past few months I have been searching for my perfect purple, it's a very specific purple and I was beginning to think it didn't exist. However, my mission is complete as I now have Jacava London's Marrakesh Nights*!

'Marrakesh Nights' with Jacava London's 'Top Coat with UV Inhibitor'

I don't know if I have been looking in the wrong places, but I haven't come across a purple like this before. It's such a beautiful colour, I'll give you the website description of it though as I don't think I could describe it better than Jacava have themselves:

I don't usually plan things so far in advance, but I have already decided that I will be wearing Marrakesh Nights to my work Christmas party. It's elegant, bold and has a very slight shimmer to it which I love!

The quality of the Jacava polishes I have tried so far is fantastic. I've never applied a polish so easily, it just glides on so smoothly and full of colour, you don't need to mess around smoothing out clumps or putting on loads of layers to cover up streaks and make the colour opaque. The wand is also fantastic, I feel as though it has been perfectly designed for ease of use. I also like the brush, it is narrow, making application very tidy. Because of this, I have to agree with Jacava that this is a luxury polish - you get professional looking nails with very little effort.

Review:

- High quality: very easy to apply leaving no streaks or clumps,
- It dries surprisingly quickly,
- Shiny, professional finish,
- Beautiful, unusual colour,
- The long wand and brush applies polish effortlessly, in fact they are long enough for the brush to reach the bottom of the bottle meaning you can get more or less every drop of polish out (I think this is a fantastic idea!),
- '8-free' - Jacava London have made the world's first '8-free' polishes, this means they are free from many of the nasty chemicals that are often found in nail polishes and also aren't tested on animals! Read more about it here.

- The only downside is the price tag of Jacava London polishes (£14.50 on their website), for me it is a bit high, however, due the the quality, I would definitely buy one as a treat if there was a colour I really liked (I really like the look of Chillax!). The polish is very high quality and because of this it is going to last you a while as you don't need to use loads of layers and it is long lasting. So the price tag doesn't seem too bad when you take these points into consideration, after all you are paying for a luxury polish.

What do you think of Marrakesh Nights? Do you love it as much as I do?! What are your thoughts on higher price band polishes, do you own any or would you consider buying some? Leave me a comment :)

  1. I'm the same with purples, I can never find the right one. This looks lovely though, very tempting...
