Jacava London: Chillax & Matte Top Coat

Hi everyone,

Today I'll be showing you one of my favourite polishes; Jacava London's Chillax (check it out in My Top 10 Polishes post!). I've already done a swatch and review post for Chillax, which you can read here, so make sure you check that post out for more details on it.

I wanted to show you Jacava's new Matte Top Coat so decided to do it over Chillax and show you how different the polish looks when shiny or matte. A lot of Jacava's polishes have a very shiny finish and the matte top coat completely transforms them, you can see the comparison further down. I'll do a few of these comparison posts with other Jacava polishes and then do a round-up post of them all eventually.

The matte top coat is great, a few others I have tried tend to take a while to 'mattify' and give a streaky, uneven finish, but this one worked very quickly and perfectly. After 4 days the matte finish started to wear off and I could begin to see light reflecting off the nail. The matte effect is still there and the polish is far from what it looked like without the matte top coat, but you can see it isn't as 'matte' as it was when you first apply it.

Do you prefer Chillax with a matte (top) or glossy (bottom) finish? I can't decide, I think they both look so different it will depend on my mood as to which finish I go for!

Jacava's Chillax and Matte Top Coat are available on the Jacava website for £11. My previous Chillax post says it is £14.50, which it was at the time, but it seems that Jacava have changed their prices which is great news for us - yay!

If you are interested in seeing more of my Jacava swatches then click here. Also, if you want to get your hands on some of them, Jacava are now holding a 50% off sale for a limited time to celebrate reaching 180K Facebook 'likes', head over to their website to check it out! I'm going to be stocking up on some of my favourites and getting a few of the new polishes!

Do have any Jacava favourites? What do you think of the new Matte Top Coat? Let me know :)
