Blue & White Floral Nail Art

I hope you all had a great weekend. I went to a wedding, the first one I have been to since I was about 10! Today I'm showing you the nails I wore to go with my dress.

They were supposed to be 'One Stroke Flowers', but as I just couldn't get the hang of that technique I made up my own, so I'm not sure if they're classed as 'one stroke' anymore!

These took me absolutely ages to do but I think they were worth it, I'm really proud of them. They may not be exceptionally neat, but this is the first time I've attempted what I call 'realistic' nail art (by that I mean the flowers look like real flowers rather than 'cartoon' type flowers) and it turned out a lot better than I had expected.

Here they are with the dress, I think they're a pretty good match!

Most people seem to use acrylic paint for flowers in nail art, however I found nail polish worked just fine. I used a mixture of Barry M, Sinful Colors, and Jacava London polishes, along with my Rio nail art pens. I used nail brushes to apply the colours and blend them together, and then finished it off with Barry M's Matte Top Coat.

I was getting loads of questions at the wedding about them; 'Are they your real nails?', 'Are they nail wraps?', 'Did you paint them yourself? How long did it take?'. I love getting asked questions about my nails, do you?

What do you think? I really hope you like them! I've never been confident enough to do floral designs like this before but I'm looking forward to trying some more in the future :)

Thank you to everyone that helped me pick what colour scheme to go for too!
