Negative Space Gradient Nail Art with O.P.I 'Fly' from Unineed*

I've been seeing a lot of Negative Space nail art lately while I've been keeping up with the news from various Fashion Week events. It's a style that I have seen around a couple of times before but have never really taken to, but I decided to give it a go anyway and was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it.

The pictures don't really do it justice but I love this design and hope to do it again, maybe with some autumnal colours next time.

For this design I used O.P.I's 'Fly'* from Unineed, Barry M's Matt White, some striping tape, and a sponge. There's a tutorial on how to create this look further down the page, but first I want to show you a swatch of the beautiful O.P.I Fly. I'm not wearing a top coat in these pictures and just look how perfect and glossy the finish is...

Excuse the shape of my middle finger nail, it broke and I've had to try and repair it until it grows back!

I love turquoise polishes, it's one of my favourite colours to wear all year round, although I think it's a great colour for the current summer-autumn transition too.

As usual with O.P.I polishes I was impressed with the formula; I used 2 coats, the formula is smooth, the application effortless (the brush makes it apply really neatly too), and the finish very professional.

I'm obsessed with O.P.I polishes at the moment. I had always been put off by the price but since discovering that Unineed sell a nice range of them at a very generously discounted price (up to 50% off!!) I have been on the lookout for more to add to my collection! If you spot any of your favourite O.P.I polishes on the Unineed website let me know which ones they are so I can check them out!

So, if you fancy giving this Negative Space nail art a go yourself, just follow the steps below (any questions just ask, I realise it's a bit of a complicated tutorial!)...

O.P.I's Fly is available from Unineed for £6.98, reduced from £11.95 (I told you they give a very generous discount!). Let me know if you try out the nail art as I'd love to see, and don't forget to leave me your recommendations too!

I like Kreme de la Kremlin and Un-for-Greta-bly Blue. You can get them both off the unineed website. The blue one is so beautiful <3
