My Personalised Beauty Box from Kerry at Sherbert London

It was my 22nd birthday last week, and although I don't get as excited for my birthday now that I'm old, there was one thing that had been sat on my desk waiting to be opened for about two weeks, and it required so much willpower to save it for the big day!

Kerry from Sherbert London made me one of the most thoughtful gifts I have ever received; my very own, personalised beauty box. So much time, effort and creativity must have gone into this, it made me so happy! Kerry is going to tell you more about how she made the box and what she included, I hope you enjoy the post!

Hello again friends of The Naily Mail, it's Kerry from Sherbert London. It was recently Lauren's birthday and I decided to make Lauren's own beauty box as her birthday present. I based this on the likes of Birchbox and Glossybox. I like this idea because you can give your friends something that you love, something that they might enjoy or something brand new. It's a great way to pass on products that you may have received but didn't enjoy or use and it's a great way to use empty boxes from your subscription.

I started by gathering my materials:

An empty Birchbox

Tissue Paper

Letter stickers

Assorted stuffing I kept from previous Glossyboxes

White card, Washi tape, Glue, Pencil and Scissors

I started by cutting a piece of white card to cover the top of the box, this will obscure the Birchbox logo when I wrap the top of the box in tissue paper. I glued this to the top of the box and glued the tissue paper to the top of the box.

I used Washi tape to hide the edges of the tissue paper and then I used the pencil to measure where the letter stickers would be correctly placed on the box.

Now place some stuffing inside the box and add your items!

Here are the items I included:

John Freida | Original 6 Effects Serum | £4.00 - I received one of these in my May Glossybox and I have used it after every single hair wash since then. It tames my stray hairs and generally makes my hair look smoother and smarter.

Revlon Parfumerie™ Scented Nail Enamel in 'Autumn Spice' | £6.49 - If you're a regular reader then you will know that Lauren loves a nail polish or two (or eight), but how can you know what to buy a nail polish lover? I decided to go with the theme of the season, Autumn.

Benefit They're Real Mascara mini - Lauren told me that she hasn't tried many Benefit products. I've tried a few over the past year and i've also picked up some miniatures from beauty subscriptions and events. I like this mascara and thought that Lauren may like to try it.

Makeup Revolution Salvation Palette 'Girls On Film' Eyeshadow Palette | £6.00 - I have tried and reviewed a few Makeup Revolution items in the past year and I decided it was time to try them again. I bought myself a few items that I am yet to write about, one in particular was this palette. I find that my make-up always stays the same and I am not very adventurous, so I thought this would be a good way to add a little bit of extra colour. I hope that Lauren likes to try new make-up and that she will enjoy giving this a whirl.

Benefit Stay Don't Stray mini - Another Benefit miniature for Lauren to try. I did not know that there was such a thing to stop eye liner and eye shadow from transferring on to my eyelids until I tried this! I now use this religiously and my make-up never wanders.

Zoella Fizz Bar cube - I bought the bar for myself a broke off a cube for Lauren to try. I wrapped it up in the same tissue paper from the box and secured it with a piece of ribbon that I received from a Glossybox.

Caudalie Deep Cleansing Exfoliator + Purifying Mask minis - I loved my experience at Caudalie's spa in Covent Garden and I like to share them with my friends too.

I hope that Lauren liked her box and I hope that you will use this idea for yourself too. :)

Thank you so much for my box Kerry, I love it!

I was so excited to try the Make Up Revolution palette, I don't own any other products from them but had heard great things. I have already used it a couple of times, it is pushing me to be more adventurous with my make up! I love the Revlon polish too, it smells lovely and I love the shimmer to it. And I'm so excited to use the Zoella Fizz Bar because it smells amazing! I just love everything in the box basically!

I hope this post has inspired a few of you to make some of your own personalised beauty boxes for your beauty-loving friends and family for Christmas - I think it is such a nice idea.

Make sure you check out Kerry's blog (you can follow it on bloglovin' here), and pay her a visit on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram too!

Thanks again Kerry :)
