USpicy 10 Piece Makeup Brush Set*

Today I have a review of a make up brush set for you from USpicy*. Since I started blogging I have found out so much about beauty tools. Makeup brushes were something I didn't think I needed in my makeup routine and were only for professionals, however after buying a couple a fews months ago I have realised that they are so easy to use and really do make a big difference to the application and finish of your makeup. Gone are the days of applying makeup with my fingers and removing it with a makeup wipe (the horror!).

I bought four brushes to start me off and I have been happy using them, however this 10 piece set from Spicy has introduced me to quite a few new brushes and has got me practising some new makeup techniques.

Firstly I just want to mention the packaging - it's lovely! Not only does the box present the brushes nicely if they were to be given as a gift, I use it to store the brushes in to prevent them from getting misshapen in my makeup bag!

I also love the white and gold design of the brushes - very fashionable.

The set comes with 10 brushes all having a different purpose. To be honest I don't think I need 10 brushes, there are 4 in here that I would use for everyday makeup and I'd probably use the others if I fancied being a bit more adventurous for a night out.

The brushes come with a booklet that tells you what each brush is used for and basic instructions on how to use each one. I think this is great because I definitely wouldn't have known what to do with a few of them if I hadn't read the booklet!

The brushes are soft and fluffy and feel nice on my skin. When concealer or foundation dries on the brushes they do lose their fluffiness though so they need cleaning fairly often (I use baby shampoo to wash them).

From what I can see and feel the brushes are good quality. The bristles feel firmly stuck within the ferrules. When I first opened the box I noticed a strong smell of paint from the handles but this wore off after a couple of weeks.

Here are some pictures of the brushes (sorry for the bad lighting!)...

My favourite is the angled contouring brush! I think the eyeshadow brushes are a bit big, if they were smaller they would be easier to use as they would be more precise.

A very nice set of brushes, I'm really pleased with them. They will hopefully force me to be more adventurous with my makeup too. They're great value for money compared to most makeup brushes so they're great for beginners and to give as a gift.

You can buy this set of brushes from Amazon, priced at £16.99 (RRP £35.99)**.

Let me know what you think!
