The Edge Nails and Beauty - Review

The Edge Nails and Beauty is a UK nail brand offering a huge range of nail care products, polishes, nail tools, brushes... basically every nail supply I can think of! The Edge Nails is a new brand to me and I have been lucky enough to receive some of their products to try out. I hope you enjoy my swatches and review!

Nail Polishes

Clockwise from bottom left: New Orleans*, San Fransisco*, Marrakesh*, New York*, Northern Lights*, Glacier*.

New Orleans
An absolutely stunning coral-red with a fantastic formula! Two coats gave a completely opaque and super smooth, gel-like finish. It dried very quickly too. I was very impressed!
2 coats with Glacier top coat

Northern Lights
I added a thin layer of Northern Lights over New Orleans and really liked the look, it makes me think of summer parties.

A nice berry colour with a good, fast-drying, formula, not as impressive as New Orleans though, although it's going to be pretty tough to beat that!
2 coats with Glacier top coat

New York
I tried this glitter on its own but to get a good coverage I had to use 4 coats. At this point it got very thick on the nail, and as you can see from the picture you can still see my terribly stained nails underneath. It looks lovely as a glitter top coat though, it adds a lovely subtle shimmer from a distance.

San Fransisco
I'm not really a pink person and I don't think this colour suits me, but the formula was great; again it dried very quickly and 2 coats gave a completely opaque, smooth, shiny finish.

Here is a thick layer of Northern Lights over San Fransisco. Super pretty and girly!

Nail Care

I tried the curved zebra nail file*, the acetone free nail polish remover*, and the Super Shiner*. I like the remover because it actually smells sort of nice which isn't something you usually come across with nail polish remover!

The Super Shiner left my nails looking very shiny and healthy as if they had a clear polish over them. It's the best one I've used so far but I have only tried nail shiners from two other brands previously.

The nail file - wow! I've always thought that nail files were all the same and just bought any I came across at the shops, I didn't realise you could get curved ones, cushioned ones, and even different levels of coarseness/grit! The curved zebra nail file is fantastic, it's really easy to hold and use and it gave my nails a much neater, and smoother, finish than any of my previous nail files. I know where I'll be getting my nail files from in future!

The Edge Nail's supplies are available from their website. The polishes are priced at £2.76, the Super Shiner £1.14, and the curved zebra nail file £0.64. I think they are very reasonably priced considering the quality, especially New Orleans, it's so beautiful!

What do you think of The Edge Nails? Have you tried any of their products before?
