Summer Chevrons

I'm baaaack! After what feels like forever I have finally finished university after four years, and this July I will be graduating as a Master of Chemistry - exciting! My blog has had to take a backseat over the past few months because I've been so busy with uni. I've missed it so much, but I've been jotting down ideas and doodling nail designs when an idea pops into my head so I've got plenty of blog posts lined up.

It has been nearly two months since I last did some nail art so I was desperate to get creative again. I decided on something simple but bright and cheerful to start me off.

I used the 'Chevron Zig Zags' stencils* from Nail Mail, Barry M 'Get Set Go'* (a new addition to the Speedy range - I'll get them swatched soon!), Barry M 'Kiss Me Quick'*, Sinful Colors 'Snow White', and Edge Nails 'New York'*.

I think I need to have a bit more patience with the nail stencils; I keep removing them before the polish is fully dry and I end up smudging them! Apparently I need to reaquaint myself with my camera too - I found it impossible to get a good picture. Aghhh I feel so out of practice! Anyway, let me know what you think of the design :)

  2. Have you tried removing the stencils while the nail varnish is wet, before it starts to dry? I've not used stencils myself before but I always used to wait until my nail varnish was dry before removing stripping tape but much prefer removing it straight away now x
