nailbox - June 2015

In April I introduced you to nailbox - a brand new beauty box aimed at nail polish lovers (read my original post here). I absolutely loved my first box and I'm very excited to show you June's box* today!

If you're already a subscriber and want to keep the contents of your June box a surprise for now then don't scroll any further!

Each month you will receive 5 nail items to keep (3 or 4 nail polishes and 1 or 2 nail tools or treatments). In June's box you will receive...

Essie - Roarrrrange
2 coats plus Seche Vite Top Coat
A slightly darker orange than your typical summer time orange shades. It has a nice formula but I would recommend building the colour up in 2 or 3 thinner coats; I used 2 thick coats and found that it pooled down the sides of a couple of nails. The brush is amazing! It flattens to cover the width of your nail making application so easy.

nails inc - Colville Mews
2 coats plus Seche Vite Top Coat
This polish has such a lovely formula! I usually find that nudes are quite patchy and require quite a few coats to even out but Colville Mews looks perfect in just two coats. It dries fairly quick to give a super glossy that looks very professional. I think this could be my new favourite nude!

Tanya Burr - Mischief Managed
2 coats plus Seche Vite top coat
This is my first Tanya Burr polish and for some reason I wasn't expecting much from it. I was pleasantly surprised, however. The formula is quite thin but very pigmented, and dried to give a shiny finish. You could probably get away with 1 coat but adding the second one gives it a 'plump' finish which I always find much more appealing. I'm very impressed and am eager to try more shades from the Tanya Burr range.

Seche Vite Topcoat
Believe it or not, this was the product I was most excited about! I love this topcoat - I'm coming to the end of a bottle so I was made up to find this in my box. It's fast-drying and gives your nails a professional-looking shine, sort of like they have a glass shield over them. It is by far my favourite top coat. I've used it over the three polishes above, and below you can see Tanya Burr - Mischief Managed with and without Seche Vite (little finger).

There's not a huge difference in appearance but it's more about the feel to me; as I said above, it's like it adds a glass shield that makes my nails feel protected.

Elegant Touch - Cuticle Nipper
My cuticles don't require much attention so I probably won't get much use out of these. I don't actually own any though so I'm happy to have a some now, especially from a brand that I know and trust. They feel sturdy and of high quality, plus they have a 5 year guarantee!

Overall
Another great box from nailbox! I must admit I wasn't overly excited about the colours when I first opened the box but after trying them out I'm really happy, especially with Roarrrrange. I like that nailbox aim to bring you high quality polishes meaning you are getting good value for money (I've worked out the RRP of this box to be over £40). The fact that you won't receive the same colour twice is also great!

Availability
The June nailbox is available to buy now priced between £13.50 and £15 depending on the length of your subscription (delivery is free). You have until around the 20th June to purchase your box and it will be dispatched on or around the 21st June. You can subscribe to nailbox here.

What do you think of nailbox then? Quite a few people told me they had subscribed back in April so I'd love to know if you're enjoying your boxes. Leave me a comment below :)

  2. This is amazing Lauren! I can't believe as a fellow nail polish addict that I had never heard of Nail Box until I read your post. I agree that this box is worth it just for the Seche Vite! I'm slightly in love with the Essie polish too...

  5. I have a pair of cuticle nippers but I very very rarely use then to trim my cuticles but they are perfect for hang nails I think they're called or any bits of stray nail or skin around your nails that could do with trimming off x
